The Table

City Table helps facilitate transformation by curating tables of influencers working together to broker transformation. City tables are formed around an identified social cause issue. We facilitate a group of friends consisting of civic leaders, cultural influencers, the Church, and marketplace leaders that form a table around mutual support and mission with a commitment to one another. Table members then work together to achieve positive outcomes. Tables work together to carry social righteousness into the work of city transformation.

We work with city tables to align engagement goals with our City Table’s mission to catalyze systemic change. This is done to develop a strategic, faith-driven approach for engaging key community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders. We aim to resource leaders and foster unity across sectors. We encourage peer support from city tables, where those with more experience in engagement can mentor others and share best practices.

To this end, we provide a City Table toolkit to aid table formation. Our toolkit includes key talking points about City Table’s mission, vision, and values, as well as success stories that illustrate the impact of collaborative efforts. We provide materials such as partnership proposals, a collaboration framework to guide discussions with potential partners, and a missional framework that, in a four-step process, helps table members discover their intrinsic missional purpose statement and clarify their missional field.
